2019 Volvo XC40 is a 4 door 5 passenger smallest compact SUV from Volvo after XC90 of 2015 and XC60 of 2018. The XC40 will be the final product of global SUV line up from the Swedish automaker Volvo. This all new SUV will make a mark in the automotive industry with a small body and luxurious approach.
2019 Volvo XC40 Engine
The car will be made available in 3 models: T4 model, T5 model, and hybrid model. The T4 model comes with front wheel drive and 200 HP four cylinder engine. The T5 model will be made available with standard all wheel drive and four cylinder engine which produces a power of 250 HP and torque of 258 lb-ft. This comes embedded with Drive-E technology. The hybrid with three cylinder gasoline engine and dual clutch gearbox will be launched later.
2019 Volvo XC40 Specifications
The XC40 from the Volvo will be the first vehicle built on compact modular architecture. This will be the base in the future cars from the Volvo. The 2019 XC40 will be seen with Steel body work and will be launched in two trim levels, the Momentum version and the R-design version. The Inscription version will be the range stopping version which will be added later by the Volvo. The new generation car will be seen with textured plastic on the door panels and embossed pattern on the dashboard. This lends the car a premium look. There is generous storage space all around, rendering the interior easy-to-use. The car comes housed with the large infotainment system that comprises of 9.0 inch touch screen which stands compatible with navigation, stereo and hands-free calling along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The upgraded Technology allows the car to be accessed with a smartphone thus making it no more a compulsion to handover the key to a different user physically.
2019 Volvo XC40 Safety Features
The City Safety System offered by the Volvo includes cameras to identify pedestrians, cyclists, car and even large animals which results in alerting the driver as well as executing automatic braking in case a probable collision is detected. The Cross Traffic Detection system detects and alerts the driver of any car approaching to the sides while reversing and executes automatic braking. The Pilot Assist Technology comprises of Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist system which makes sure to keep the vehicle in the right lane. In case of any divergence, the automatic braking system initiates and the car slowly moves to the slow drive lane and stops eventually.

2019 Volvo XC40 Pricing and Release Time
The Volvo will be launching the T5 model first with a price range of $36,200 followed by the T4 model with the starting price of $32,200. The T5 model is expected to hit the market in the 2019 summers.
