2018 Honda Odyssey
Whereas many families are opting for crossovers and SUVs, there are still families that think that the low load heights and the flexibility of the minivans are worthwhile. These families will want the new 2018 Honda Odyssey. Honda has made improvements to the car’s cabin by making it more flexible, quieter and piling in a lot of entertainment and technology.
2018 Honda Odyssey Interior
The car has been made quieter by the standard noise cancellation system, improved sound deadening, available acoustic front and side glass and triple door seals. The more silent cabin allows passengers to listen to music over the new display audio system that features a touch screen that is 8 inches. The system has the usual volume knob, Android Auto and Apple Carplay functions. For passengers in the rear seats, there is an entertainment system that can stream video via 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection that is optional, or any other Wi-Fi connection like a phone.
The car has infra-red cameras that allow the system to operate both in light and dark. The cameras provide a good view to the driver of what the passengers are up to. It also has an app called “How much further?” that lets the passengers to know the time remaining to reach a destination. Another application known as “cabin control” allows passengers to send a destination to the navigation system of the car and to control the climate and the entertainment of the rear cabin. Also, the vehicle has three rows of two seats each.
2018 Honda Odyssey has a Sensing suite that provides safety to the passengers. It has an adaptive cruise control together with automated lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, and emergency breaking. There is also a new addition of rear cross traffic function to the suite safety system.

The vehicle will have a body structure and chassis made from tough aluminum, magnesium and steel. While the weight decreases by 96 pounds, the car’s rigidity shoot up by 44 percent compared with previous models. Its flexes are sharpened by a more response re-engineered rear suspension and power steering system.

The outside is not much different from previous models. However, it has new LED head and tail lights and the grille looks like almost similar to that of the pilot and other recent Honda models. Honda also adjusted the hood upfront. The doors handles have been put away from each other and there is a new floating D-pillar that makes it look appealing. It also has a power liftgate that is handsfree and is activated by feet.
2018 Honda Odyssey Engine
2018 Honda Odyssey has a 3.5 liter V6 engine that is directly injected with a cylinder deactivation. This new model increases in power to 280hp from 248hp. It will also work with a 9-speed automatic transmission system or the new 10-speed automatic transmission system on higher models.
2018 Honda Odyssey Price
The 2018 Honda Odyssey is arriving this spring and the price is not yet released. However, it cannot be far off the price of the prevailing Honda van that starts at $29,850.
