2018 Audi TT
The 2018 Audi TT RS moves into the future, as it has been thoroughly reworked. There is a brand new engine, with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, unlike the manual transmission the previous model came with. The car comes with all of the third generation lightweight technology and futuristic user interface. The Audi TT RS will be available at the during the summer of 2017 or the beginning of 2018. The roadster version of the TT RS will not be available in the United States.
2018 Audi TT Interior
The interior of the car contains a full TFT screen in front of the driver that can be switched to display RS-specific graphics. This has as a feature of a centralized tachometer. It can also show the engine power, torque outputs, lateral and longitudinal acceleration, and all 4 tire’s pressure.There is two extra buttons on the steering wheel, one to start and turn off the ignition and one to change driving modes. A flash reminds the driver to change gears when running in manual mode. When on the screen with the tachometer, it flashes red when it is near redlining. All user functions can be performed from the steering wheel, making the console buttons obsolete, except for the switch to change the switchable exhaust. The car also has carbon fiber, suede and quilted patterns on the leather seats — with the option to add the same pattern to the dashboard, console lid and armrests. Climate control is on the events themselves, as this is important for a number of people who are involved.
2018 Audi TT Engine
The engine on the 2018 Audi TT RS is a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder engine. It delivers 354 pounds of torque. The 2018 Audi TT RS comes with All Wheel Drive. This is Quattro AWD. The engine has an aluminum block and is lighter than its predecessor. It delivers 400 horsepower and is more fuel efficient. It also delivers a distinctive sound that is obviously Audi. Audi is claiming that the TT RS will do 0-62 in 3.7 seconds. Top speed is governed at 155-174 depending on the market. The standard exhaust has active valves to quiet the noise during cruising speeds but can hear the engine during high rev moments. There is also an optional sports exhaust that comes in at higher engine noise levels. The dual clutch transmission can be shifted manually either by the lever or the paddle shifters as far as it is concerned.
2018 Audi TT Exterior
The exterior of the car comes with a large intake to deal with the engine’s cooling needs, a fixed rear wing, and two large oval tailpipes. The headlights and tail lights are LED. The tires are 245/35R-19 standard and 255/30R-20 optional. There will also be an egg crate grill, a more pronounced lower spoiler and a prominent diffuser. The suspension is nice and tight.
2018 Audi TT Price and Gas Mileage
The estimated price of the Audi TT RS is around 60,000. EPA is not available yet, though fuel economy is rumored to be improved.
It is not known whether or not there will be any towing packages for the Audi TT RS.
