2018 Audi e-tron

The news around the new 2018 Audi e-tron, scheduled to arrive to the market in 2018, has been subject of much talk in the car community. As the first car of the dedicated electric car series, the expectations around it are quite high. The vehicle is comparable to the first Quattro, and looking ahead, the name E-Tron will be the name of the electric driveline structure of Audi. The concept surrounding the series was launched at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, and will in the future play a bigger and bigger role for Audi as a company. By 2020, three vehicles similar to the e-tron will be released, and so the Audi e-tron will set the stage for the cars to come.

The new 2018 Audi e-tron will feature several new technical features, similar to the Q7. This involves the WiFi Hotspot feature and other details that will make the ride easier for both you and your passengers. The look and feel of the inside, however, is going to draw most of its inspiration from the A8 flagship sedan. The problem is that we do not know that much about the A8 flagship whilst writing this, which makes predictions difficult. It will most likely be covered in leather, and the inside will be offered in several different colors. The dashboard will probably be complemented with a combination of aluminum and wood, but before we get a look at the vehicle ourselves, we really can’t say anything for sure.

2018AudieTron Engine Specs

The vehicle, much like its predecessors, will be put on the market featuring four-wheel drive. Being an electric car, the vehicle will be driven by a rechargeable battery. However, being the first in a series, we really do not know what to expect when it comes to range and such. Without inside information we can only make educated guesses. Looking at its predecessors, the experts estimate somewhere between 272 and 373 horsepower, which is quite a big gap. All we can do is sit tight and wait for the 2018 Audi e-tron to arrive on the market.

The new 2018 Audi e-tron design will be sportier compared to earlier Audi models — such as the Q7. The front will be sharper than older vehicles, with a large grille in front and thin, sleek headlamps. The headlamps are designed to match the large grille, which is part of Audi’s new signature design features. Almost all the new Audi vehicles will be equipped with this large grille, and the electric car is no exception.

2018 Audi e-tron Range

2018AudieTron Price

Being an electric car, its range is not based on gas-mileage, but on the battery. The new 2018 Audi e-tron will feature a battery with a capacity of about 94 kWh. It will support a landed effect of 150 kW. The electric-only range is up to 16 miles.

2018 Audi e-tron Towing

We really do not know what the towing capacity of the new electric vehicle from will be, and if it will even be able to tow. The Audi A3 had a towing capacity of about 415 kg, but that really doesn’t say much about the new electric car. All we can do is sit down and wait (impatiently) to see what Audi brings to the table.
