2018 Aston Martin Vantage
The new 2018 Aston Martin Vantage is alleged to arrive with several new and interesting features. Most of these are currently only rumors, but what exactly do these rumors say?
The first-generation Aston Martin Vantage is close to its point of discontinuation, and rumors around the new generation are flying around like crazy. Aston Martin is testing out the next vantage camouflaged as a DB11 in 2016, according to a few spy photographers. Some reports are saying they’re already testing out the 4.0-liter, V-8 mill, and some claim they’re fitted with new AMG powerplants.
2018 Aston Martin Vantage Interior
It looks as if the new 2018 Aston Martin Vantage will steal its design from the DB11. It’s reasonable to assume that we will be presented with tall centre consoles and clean dashboards, the classic Aston Martin look. We still believe there might be a few upgrades, which there hopefully are. Rumors about race-inspired, digital instrument cluster, flat-bottomed steering and thinner spokes are going around. There’s even talk of a TFT display with a touchpad, 12 inch and all. When it comes to color combinations, we should be expecting nearly endless possibilities, from simple to sporty.
2018 Aston Martin Vantage Engine
There has been word of a turbocharged powerplant. A biturbo 4.0 litre V-8 similar to the Mercedes-AMG GT sports car seems to be what is awaiting us under the hood of the new Aston Martin Vantage. A twin-turbo (5.1 litre V12) will most likely also be offered with the Vantage. We are looking at speeds like 600 horsepower on the V12 and 500 on the V8 — a significant amount of speed. Reduced curb weight will also improve performance compared to the older model.
2018 Aston Martin Vantage Exterior
If you’re starting to wonder about the exterior, we’ve got you covered. Although we don’t know too much about what it looks like, mainly because the vehicle is being tested disguised as a DB11 prototype, there are some things we notice right of the bat. The wheelbase is shorter than what the DB11 has, telling us It will probably have the vantage two-seat configuration. The aluminum platform will be shorter than the DB11’s. The new model will, in all probability, be longer and wider. A sportier, muscular look is talked about, similar to what debuted Aston Martin’s designs. The color possibilities will probably be the same as the older model of Aston Martin Vantage, but because of the mat black test car, we’re really in the dark when talking about exterior color combinations.
2018 Aston Martin Vantage Price and Gas Mileage
It is indeed a bit too early to know exactly how expensive the new Aston Martin Vantage is going to be. However, if we take a look at how much the current model costs in stores, we would think the new Aston Martin Vantage will bring in about $120,000 each. The V-12 Is most likely going to be around the $200,000 mark. But, the truth is, we can’t really now before the second half of 2017, when the new model supposedly is supposed to debut. The average MPG was 18 mpg on the Aston Martin Vantage 2015, so we should expect the MPG to be higher on the second gen model.
2018 Aston Martin Vantage Towing
The towing capacity of the new Aston Martin Vantage is a complete mystery; we really don’t know yet. Comparing it to earlier models is useless, since its most likely going to be much higher. Here, just as with price and MGP, the only thing we can do is wait.
